I recently got together with a group of friends at Cool Water
Fusion, which is a relatively new restaurant located in the
Wyoming Mall near the new Wal Mart just south of Menaul.
This is a small, cozy place and would be a great venue for a
date night.
I called Cool Water Fusion a few days before we planned to eat there just to make sure I could order something gluten free. The person I spoke with was very knowledgeable about all the requirements of gluten-free meals and told me that they can make several dinner meals gluten free but lunches would be limited to salads.
My dinner options included a Blue Corn Crusted Fried Chicken, the Rib Eye Steak special or the Tilapia. I questioned the server about how they made their entrees gluten free and she assured me that gluten-free cooking was one of their core skills, and that they have many customers who follow a gluten-free diet. I ordered the Tilapia because the Roasted Corn Salsa and Lemon Beurre Blanc sauce sounded like an interesting combination. I was not disappointed. The combination of tastes was wonderful, and the Tilapia was accompanied by a large serving of mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans.
Allow time to for a leisurely meal at Cool Water Fusion. Although the service was good, it took quite a long time for our meal and our desserts to be served after we placed our order. Additionally, it will be a while before you can order a glass of wine with your meal because the restaurant has not yet received its liquor license.
