Albuquerque/Rio Rancho is very fortunate to be the home of
a new, completely gluten-free and locally-owned catering
business. GF Gourmet Food, Inc. offers delicious entrees,
sandwiches, salads and side dishes made in a completely
gluten free kitchen. The meals, which include (but are not
limited to) a variety of Mexican and Italian main dishes, are
made in the quantity you order and available for pick up in
Rio Rancho or delivery.
I had the pleasure of trying several items made by GF Gourmet Foods at a Holiday Fair held in December, 2011. The Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas were the very best I've ever tasted. Along with the enchiladas, I had a fantastic sandwich made on gf Focaccia bread. The sandwich was stuffed with several different Boar's Head gf deli meats, an array of fresh vegetables and topped with a delicious vinaigrette. To round out sampling, I had a couple of their Biscochitos. My teenage son joined me on this eating adventure and he thought the foods we tried were incredible.
If all goes as planned, GF Gourmet Foods, Inc. will be opening Sweet Endings Bakery in the Spring of 2012. The bakery is centrally located near Nob Hill right next to Michael Thomas Coffee on Carlisle just North of Gibson and will offer almost every type of baked good that one can imagine. These include cakes, cupcakes, biscotti, scones, donuts, muffins, bread, cookies, pie and more.
