Purchase a Gluten-Free Products List
©2010 GlutenFreeAlbuquerque.com
As with all major grocery stores, much of their
inventory is naturally gluten free. This is where a
gluten-free products list is a great resource,
especially when first adopting a gluten-free lifestyle.
While there are many of these lists published in many
different forms, the one I like is published by the
Denver Celiac Sprue Association and costs $10. The
most recent version was published in July, 2009. This
version is particularly helpful because most of the
regional brands in our stores are the same as those in
Denver stores. You can order yours at

Avoid Bulk Foods
Bulk food items are probably not gluten free because
they are easily cross contaminated by other products
in the bulk foods section.
Consider purchasing packaged products in larger
quantities
Gluten-free packaged foods are relatively expensive
when compared to their gluten-filled counterparts. If
you like a product, consume it frequently and have
room to store multiple packages, consider purchasing
the product through amazon.com There you will find a
wide selection of gluten-free products sold by the case
at unit prices much lower than local grocery stores.
However, it may not be a great deal unless you order
enough to qualify for free shipping.
