Luigi's Ristorante and Pizzeria now serves gluten-free
pizza and pasta. They use a rice flour pizza crust that is
purchased from a vendor and their gluten-free penne pasta
can be topped with any of their gluten-free sauces, including
the Alfredo sauce.
When our server came to the table, I asked him several
questions about the gluten-free pizza and a couple
questions about the procedures used in the kitchen to
prevent cross contamination. I wasn't successful obtaining
answers about cross contamination prevention in enough
detail to make me feel comfortable. However, I had heard
from several people that they had a good experience so I
ordered the gluten-free cheese pizza.
The server must have grabbed my pizza out of the oven and
brought it directly to the table because it was piping hot.
The sauce was delicious and my pizza was loaded with
cheese. While the pizza crust is not my favorite, I've spoken
with a number of people who think it's the best available.
The pizza was good and I had no unfortunate symptoms of
gluten consumption. I'm anxious to go back and try the
pasta with same yummy sauce that was on my pizza.
