Pars is a fun place to go for an authentic Persian or
Mediterranean meal. This is also a great restaurant for those
of us following a gluten-free diet because we can order a
variety of meals straight from the menu without requiring any
alterations.
The Greek Salad pictured here was cold, crisp and full of flavor.
It would have tasted great without salad dressing. However,
Pars makes their own Greek salad dressing which is
exceptional and gluten free.
Lamb Souvlaki is one of my favorite Mediterranean meals, and
I usually order it whenever I see it on a menu. The lamb was
marinated in a delicious combination of herbs, spices and
lemon juice and was served over a bed of Basmati rice topped
with strands of saffron. The Lamb Souvlaki dinner also included
a Greek Salad (obviously I really like Greek Salad).
Upon entering Pars, you feel as though you've been
transported to a different continent. The décor is exotic, and
you can even choose to enjoy your meal sitting on the floor
rather than sitting at one of the regular tables. When we were
there, the entertainment was provided by a belly dancer.
Additionally, Pars has a separate Samovar Bar (tea room) that
can be reserved and a Hookah Lounge (an area to smoke
tobacco out of water pipes) on the patio.
An evening at Pars is a wonderful way to absorb a little bit of
Middle Eastern culture while enjoying a fantastic meal.
