May 2016, from members Roy and Shirley: The Ranch House is a bar and grill offering a variety of American Cuisine. Josh Baum, the owner, eats gluten free, as his father has Celiac Disease. Many items on the menu are GF or can be made gluten free and he has told us that he never “hides” any gluten. He relates that fried items are NOT GF as he does NOT use a dedicated fryer and the cornbread is NOT GF. BBQ is their specialty but they also have great New Mexican dishes, hamburgers and steaks. They do have a dedicated GF grill so all steaks and burgers are gluten free. He carries GF buns for his sandwiches. Most meats, sauces and sides are GF in his restaurant. There will always be at least one GF dessert option.
He emphasizes that all GF customers should talk with their waiter or better yet, ask for a manager to discuss and clarify their particular dietary needs so that they can follow your order throughout the process.
The food is excellent! A very nice, clean, friendly restaurant. Roy and I have eaten there routinely since the restaurant opened in 2011. If Josh is there, ask to meet him!
